[KYHAM] qsl card from texas

K4Y is a special event callsign. The 1x1 special event call database can be 
accessed through the ARRL web site. I looked it up and it says K4Y was 
assigned to WB4N, Barry Jackson, on August 15 for use at the Central 
Kentucky Hamfest.

As a point of reference, the FCC does not assign 1x1 special event calls. 
They are assigned by one of several volunteer coordinators, of which the 
ARRL is one. Such calls can be reserved up to 12 months in advance. Go to 
www.arrl.org, click on licensing, click on calls, scroll down and click on 
the link to the 1x1 database. It gives the full history of all past, present 
and future uses of special event 1x1 callsigns.
