COMMENTS:
Between SET's at varied times and dates across the state and some
Public Service work, October was a busy month! Reports for the
Ky 2003 SET's thus far show 165 amateurs involved 371 manhours in
a total of 7 seperate op's across the state. (Note; our best
efforts have been taken to reduce numerical duplications between
the Ky SET 2003 KEN HF net on Oct. 4th and interactions between
all of the VHF nets to give a truer picture of participation
counts.)
Some of the public service works were:
Oct 11-12 - Area 7: Scott Co ARES provided communications and
parkking assistance for the Southern Knights Car Club Show in
Boonesborough, Ky.
Oct. 25 - Area 13; Amateurs provided communications for a Charity
Trail Ride at the Ky Horse Park.
Everyone is reminded to make use of our last good weather days
this year to inspect your antenna systems and get ready for the
ice and snow ahead!
