[KYHAM] Simplex Operation

I'd like to pose this scenario: If every one was ragchewing on another
frequency other than .52, who would be hearing anyone calling for help?
Although there has been a lot of criticism regarding the use of the National
Calling Frequency for ragchewing, espepecially in the metro area, consider
this: If every community had there own simplex frequency, who would monitor
.52. I wouldn't sit on .52 waiting for a call. But if I was ragchewing
there, I would certainly respond to a break as would any good ham would do.
If fact that's why a lot of us decided a long time ago to meet on .52.
Anyone who has ever listened there could never say that anyone was ignored.
I would say just the opposite...They have a much better chance to make
contact. People that use .52 provide a valuable service! When DX is coming
in, we all leave the frequency and let them have it. Listen sometime for
awhile and see for yourself.
