Hi Bill: The working title is "Standing up to Standing Waves. This title
was conceived by George Goldstone W8AP. If the program were to be dedecated
to anyone, it should be Walter Maxwell W2DU. He has written a good amount
of practical advice on the topic-one title was" Standing Waves Can Kill
You"- (from climbing to tweak that which does not need fooled with). Lou
McCoy and I have presented this together, but he did not bring much but
showmanship to the party. I recall Walter had to take on a ARRL staff
person who would do well to put a plug on a piece of lamp zip cord
concerning some fiction that was abounding at HQ at one time.

We should videotape the presentation with a digital tale camera if possible.
I know next to nothing about the process but must learn ASAP to include some
QuickTime content in a CD that goes into job I, the second edition of 'Quick
Die Change". I can buy the camera if need be. I will need one to transfer
the one-inch master tape output to a hard drive form the QDC video after
studio digital conversion.

I am sure that Pat at KY Ham site and list serve will give us a hand-Pat
wait till I send you some copy. This is strictly technical and we may seek
to put it on at the Lexington convention-I was scheduled to do it last year
until a conflict with the first Sat in August Family reunion came along.

Looks great so far bill! I will keep it off the KY nets unless advised
otherwise because I am sure that we have no State approval to make an ARRL
program and this is not a LID based activity. It definitely started out as
an ARRL program in Michigan 25 years ago. If someone else wishes to
announce it, that is fine.

Looks like local interest is building as it will be posted on a local web
site.

I plan to add the information to the L.A.R.S. site tonight. It will also be
in our club newsletter that will be mailed out on
Tuesday of next week!
