Kentucky Communications Emergency Terminated (Feb 21, 2003) -- As of 9

communications emergency was terminated at the request of the Kentucky
Section Section Manager, John Myers, NB4K. Amateurs can resume using
the frequencies 444.125 MHz, 146.760 MHz and 147.165 MHz in Fayette
County, Kentucky. The Federal Communications Commission wishes to thank
everyone for their cooperation and dedicated amateur service.

We will continue net operations on the 444.125 repeater from the EOC.
Please avoid that frequency unless you have emergency traffic, need
something from the EOC, or are volunteering to help.

The 147.165 repeater is the emergency backup for the EOC.

The 146.760 repeater is rarely being used by the EOC.

We ask that if you use the repeaters to leave a little break between
transmissions in case there is emergency traffic that has to be passed.

Thank you for your cooperation, and to those who have provided
invaluable assistance Lexington cannot ever repay you for your long
hours of community service.

Thank you to Ron Dodson, KA4MAP, KY SEC, Bob Stephens of Kentucky
Emergency Management, John Meyers, NB4K KY SM, the ARRL and the FCC for
making this possible.
