Fellow Amateurs:=0D
=0D
Just wanted to give my condolences to the families of all of the astronau=
ts
that perished in the tragic accident this morning in the skies above Texa=
s.=20
It comes to remind us all of the danger that is involved in space travel.=
=20
Many of these astronauts give of there time and energy to amateur radio a=
nd
I think when the information comes out that at least one of the astonauts=
on
Columbia was a licensed ham radio operator.=0D
=0D
Let us look at this as a chance to look forward into the future and find
better ways to get into and come back from space. The US has always been=
a
place that has brought triumph out of tragedy, let us use this philosophy=
as
a way of getting through the next few days.=0D
=0D
Amateurs have always been great supporters for the space program and I ho=
pe
that my fellow hams will show their support here.=0D
=0D
May God bless all the families that are affected by this tragic event.=0D
