Sunday night there was a lengthy discussion about J-pole antennas.
The one that Mark was talking about has been referred to as a top-wire 
J-pole antenna.
Below are examples of this and a lengthy discussion with analysis of all 
three possible
variations.

    An interesting point is that the "Top-wire" J-pole has a more uniform 
SWR over the
2 meter band than a floating wire or single wire J-pole.
