Sorry for not providing updates but the only activity so far has been one
bid of $75.
Surely, there are more HF operators out there. Bidding will end Sunday
Night at 10:00PM.
The results will be announced that night,if I am near a computer that late,
and at the
board meeting on Monday night. The winner must make arrangements to pick
up the
antenna from JB.

The Bluegrass Amateur Radio Society is Auctioning off an antenna from a
Silent Key's estate.
This antenna is a KLM KT34A, 4 element triband (20,15,10 meters) beam.
These are currently sold by M2 <http://www.m2inc.com/> for just over
$1200. M2 also has replacement parts and
upgrade kits for this antenna. Bidding will start today at $75. The
original paper work come
with the antenna. There are some cracks in some insulators and perhaps some
missing small
screws or nuts but otherwise complete. It is at JB's (wa4wwh) house with
the documentation.
If you are interested contact J.B. Young/WA4WWH, phone (859) 266-0841, to
set up a time to check
it out. His address is 243 Sherman Avenue, Lexington. This is being sold
as-is so it is recommended
that you take a look at before bidding. It was in use until just after the
ice storm this past year and
it survived it rather well. I looked at the SK's log and he logged some DX
contacts after the storm before
he passed away.
You can email me directly with your bid and I will post it on this list. I
will not include the names of bidders. All bids are welcome Club members and
non-members, however I must be able to verify your identity. So I ask you
to include your name, call sign and phone number when you bid.
This is not ebay and there is no proxy bidding. I may only update the bid
once a day. So please bid what you are willing to pay. And don't try to
out do the other fellow by one dollar other wise you may be disappointed.
The highest bid received before 10:00PM Sunday December 14th will be the
winner. The winner is expected to pay and pick up the antenna after making
arrangements with JB Young WA4WWH.
The proceeds from this sale will go to the Bluegrass Amateur Radio
Society's general fund account.
If there are any questions or problems please contact me during the day at
859 257-4155 or evening at 859 272 9523 or by email at [email protected].
