[KYHAM] Ky ARES Welcomes a New Adjutant General to KyEM and DMA

Our new Governor has appointed Colonel Donald C. Storm as the
Adjutant General of 
Kentucky.  As the new Adjutant General, Col. Storm will have a
dual role as 
both head of the Kentucky National Guard and the head of the
Kentucky 
Department of Military Affairs.  The Adjutant General is
responsible for 
ensuring a trained, prepared, and ready force to respond to both
state and 
national emergencies.  Col. Storm will also command the 7,400 men
and women 
of the Kentucky Air and Army National Guard.  Storm was be
promoted to the 
rank of Brigadier General when he assumed command on December
9th.

Adjutant General Storm is a native of Laurel County, Kentucky and
a graduate of Eastern 
Kentucky University.  He holds a bachelor's degree in finance, as
well as a 
master's degree in strategic studies from the United States Army
War 
College at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania.

For those not aware of this, the AG as the head of the Dept of
Military Affairs is senior to the Director of Ky Div. of
Emergency Management.
