Again my thanks to all those hams who worked so hard in
making the response during the February ice storm so
successful. I wish that I could have been with you all to
say so in person on April 7, 2003. Unfortunately events
taking place close to me prevented that from occurring.
Hoping to see you all in August at the state convention.
This same type of cooperative effort is possible at any
location in the state so long as all parties can agree on a
way to work together for the common good through planning
and then exercising those plans. I think the selection
committee for the 2002 Ky ARES Operator of the Year know
that we made a good choice in recognizing KA4KYI for his
hard work in liaison with DEEM to do this as it obviously
paid off for everyone in the community when it mattered.
