One thing I neglected to emphasis earlier...

In all likelihood a target would be known or at least suspected before the move would be made to RED.  If there is anyone who has not already
done so, please go to this site and review the Power Point program of ten slides on the color system and what each entails.

Right now at ORANGE is a good time to do a review of those family plans and station gear/portables and 'jump kits'.  No defined threat exists
however, if it were to go to RED, time may not allow for muchrevamping.  With the current situation regarding Iraq and Saddam H.  who knows or
could say with 100% certainty what the coming days and weeks might bring.

Also, a reminder, October is Eartquake Preparedness Month.  The fault systems are still active and low level tremors still occur.  Winter will
also be here before you know it.  Nothing like good ol' multi-hazard planning, huh? .
