SECOND REMINDER

June 22, 2002, will be proclaimed as Amateur Radio Day by
Lexington Mayor Pam Miller.  The Proclamation will be made this
coming Thursday, June 13 at 7:00 PM at the Urban County Council
meeting.  The Council meets on the 2nd floor of the Government
building at 200 East Main Street in Lexington.

It is important that as many amateur operators as possible be at
this meeting when the Mayor presents the proclamation to BARS
president Jerry Young.  If you attend then you will show Lexington's
elected officials that there are enough of us for them to care.
Wouldn't it be great if a couple hundred hams were there?  That
would just about fill the Council chambers.  Show up early at about
6:45 PM.
