Fellow Great Lakes Division ARRL Member,

As of Noon on January 1st I will fade into the long list of ARRL members
who have honorably served as Directors and Vice Directors of our fine
organization. 

As you will discover, my successor, Director Jim Weaver K8JE, is a
worthy and qualified gentleman who I believe will represent the Great
Lakes Division, Amateur Radio Service, and ARRL well. We have been
friends for years. I'm sure you will enjoy meeting and working with Jim
throughout his coming 3-year term. Vice Director Dick Mondro W8FQT  is
also highly qualified, and you will find him to be a valuable resource
to the Division, as he has been to me during my time as Director.

I will be continuing to serve the Division as Chair of the GL Division
Convention (9/6-7/2003 in Findlay, Ohio), and as Chair of the GL
Division Awards Committee. I will also continue to maintain the Division
web page in the near future. More information on these will be available
through http://greatlakes.arrl.org.

I wish each of you a safe and fun New Year's Eve, and prosperous 2003.
