North Country DX Assn Special Event Call KL7RST.
The event now includes KL7/VE8/VY0 and VY1 stations.
17 KL7RST Stations will be operating as of now with more expected to
signup to participate.
In Canada there are an additional 15 RST stations planning on participating.
This will be a collective call event. From Alaska all the stations
calling will use the call KL7RST, those across Canada will use VE8RST,
VY0RST, VY1RST and such with come rovers and portable stations using
some form of the RST call. There will be for example some VE and VA
Stations operating portable using a /KL7RST call accordingly.
This is the first of its kind event, the top of North America will be
working all comers starting 15 Feb until 27 Mar.
LotW will be updated as possible during the event and all the contacts
logged will be there by the end of the event. We are also going to
post log info onto Club Log.
The primary POC is KL7JR, John Reisenauer and he can be reached at
johnkl7jr at gmail.com. I am an alternate contact and will be the Alaska
portion coordinator for schedules and LotW consolidation.
We are going to start setting the operating schedule in January and will
coordinate to avoid any participating KL7RST station from operating at
the same time, mode and band as another KL7SRT is planning to operate.
If you are interested in being one of the Alaska Stations involved as
KL7RST, contact myself and John KL7JR please. Only approved stations
will be authorized to operate at KL7RST, this is the assigned club call
for the North Country DX Assn.
We have a Yahoo Group site with information up at
