[KL7AA] Looking for field items

Hello,
As I am sure I have probably mentioned before since I live in an
apartment building and as such I am usually operating mobile or
portable.  Currently my only HF antenna is a Buddistick which I am
trying to mount on a tripod that has a 1” OD mast.  I am trying to
stay away from buying the Buddipole tripod as it is $99 and that does
not include the mast.  I have salvaged a tripod from a work light and
am currently using that.  Currently my only way to mount it is like
so:

Using the Buddistick mini-tripod strapped to the mast.  Surprisingly,
the strap grips the mast just fine but the weak spot is the ball/clamp
that you see in the middle.  If there is even a barely stiff breeze,
the antenna starts to sag and will eventually fall over.  I am
curious if anyone (or the club) has a stronger, more suitable mount
that I could possibly borrow and/or purchase.
I think my best bet (and one that I will ultimately end up buying if I
can not find something suitable locally) is something like this:

This one would also work since it claims to mount on to a 1" OD mast:

If anyone has or knows where to procure something similar, I would be
very appreciative.
I am also looking for a small battery for portable operation.
Currently I am using a jumpstart battery meant for a vehicle but it
only offers large gauge clamps for power output so it's definitely not
the safest and best method.  I am planning to check Frigid North but
I was wondering if anyone else had recommendations to find one as
well.  I was going to try to dig up and repurpose an APC battery
(intended for computer battery backup) but realized they are
constant-voltage charge so the 12v  lead-acid battery charger/tender
I have will not work.  Again, not sure if the club has these for
sale/loan either.
It has been so nice out lately that I have no excuse to not get out
there and operate and these are the last two pieces that I need to
come together before I can.
This might be a silly question but is it acceptable for us to bring
our own equipment to setup and operate at Field Day?  The club
presentation did not make mention of this and implied that there would
be plenty of club equipment there.
Thank you for any assistance or advice that you can provide!
