No. I am not trying to sell you anything.....

Most know I am connected to the military bases as both a ham and a
military retiree. As such I help represent the Joint Military Amateur
Recreation Club and Station on JBER.

Every so ofter we get donations of excess gear that helps us continue to
maintain and operate the station on base. The Elmendorf Amateur Radio
Club and Station are there to provide direct support to our military
Hams both current and future. We are a Joint Facility with both Air
Force and Army members in the club.

Some of the radio gear we get is turned over to our new hams to help
them get active, some of it gets sold at Ham Fests or to members of the
club. This money is used to help us maintain the station, pay for
services like our web pages and basic supplies.

We will accept any Amateur Radio related items you want to donate. Over
the last few years we have been able to provide to new military Hams
used gear that got them on the air. As for the station itself remember
most Military here live either in government quarters or in antenna
restricted homes and are unable to have a home station. The Club
Station provides them a working ham station to enjoy the hobby.

Maybe consider joining the club as a supporting member. We have no
restrictions on who can be a member of the club. Access to the station
is possible with a little forward notice. We have monthly meetings on
the second Tuesday of the month at 5pm at the station.

See KL7AIR.US for more info.

If you are in a position to assist us in our efforts please contact the
club at "club at kl7air.us" or let me know.

Thanks, shameless plug over. :)
