To all local Dignitaries, Volunteers, and Radio buffs,

I just wanted to make sure you are invited to the once a year worldwide Ham
Radio Field Day sponsored by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL
http://www.arrl.org/) this weekend. Each participating group gathers points
for making Ham Radio contacts and by having Dignitaries visit their setup. The
Matanuska Amateur Radio Association (MARA http://www.kl7jfu.com/) will be
setting up at Cottonwood Elementary School in Wasilla on Saturday and Sunday.
I will be opening up the school grounds at 9:00 am + or -, then go to the
Iditarod Headquarters. Others will be there most of the day and I will be back
in the late afternoon till about 9 or 10 pm. Saturday evening, I hope to do
some SO-50 satellite contacts and have a little picnic. Tim, NL7SK, and crew
will be doing a picnic, midday Sunday.

If you have helped with or have an interest in the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race
http://www.iditarod.com/, please try to attend the Iditarod Volunteers picnic
at the Iditarod Headquarters mile 2.2 Knik-Goosebay Rd. in Wasilla. The
Outback Steak House is catering this event.

The Anchorage Amateur Radio Club (AARC http://www.kl7aa.org/), the South
Central Radio Club (SCRC http://www.kl7g.org/), and the Amateur Radio Emergency
Service (ARES http://www.qsl.net/aresalaska/) will set up for ARRL Field Day at
Kincaid Park
in Anchorage.

The Moose Horn Amateur Radio Club http://www.qsl.net/al7le/ will be setting up
at Skyview High School in Soldotna.

Many Alaskan and out of state Hams that are High Frequency and Morse Code
lovers will be at Byers Lake, off mile 147 of the Parks Highway for the Motley
picnic http://www.kl7kc.com/~kl7kc/Motley/MotleyNews.html

Then, last but not least, there is Arctic Thunder 2004!
