[Kenwood] TS-50 problems

Do you have a Batteris Plus light bulbs in your area? If so,  they will 
make you one.  They can and do spot welding on batteries that they sell.

I suspect that you do not want or need 10 of them but I saw one for $7 
or 10 for $12.  I am not sure if the tabs go the right way (one each 
direction) or if they need to both go the same direction.

I do not know what the rules are for shipping to Hawaii since batteries 
can't be shipped by air but they might ship by surface (sea surface?) 
mail. I don't know how long that usually takes.

One alternative would be to buy a holder and put it in place of the 
battery so you can just slip in a regular cell.  Granted you only need 
to change that cell about once every 5 to 10 years.

I had also seen in other posts that the cell should be rechargeable.  I 
can not address that as I do not know but something to keep in mind 
since regular lithium button cells do not take well to being recharged.
