[Kenwood] My first post -- filter question.

I don't get on the air too much from home.  The RF smog is somewhere 
between horrible and terrible...S9+60

At work, I taught folks how to hunt down interference and I put that to 
good use around the neighborhood and got the noise floor down to 
something not too bad.  Then, when everyone bought HDTVs, the noise 
floor got bad enough (S9+60) to where I can barely hear a station a mile 
away, running 500 watts on 10 meters.

I have 10 acres out west of town that I operate from during the winter 
time.  In the summer, I'll take some gear along and operate while 
camping out in the national forests.

In a little bit, I'm going to slowly bring up the 830 and see how it 
goes.  It worked about 2 years ago when I checked it out, but it hasn't 
been on since then.  Last night I fired up a Motorola low band A strip 
set, including the DC remotes and they worked perfectly.  I bought the 
radio in the early 1980s, moved it from 39.18MHz to 52.525MHz and set it 
up at mom's house.





Oh...before I forget....this radio does not have the CW filter in it. 
My mom could copy 25-30wpm, but her arthritis made it painful for her to 
send, so she never bothered much with CW.  Myself...I wouldn't notice a 
missing microphone. :-)


So, the CW filters for the 830......are any still available?
