Also check for a band switch that is out of sync with tank band switch. The 
insulated couplers can break and slip, getting the tank out of sync with the 
others.

I have a Kenwood TS-830S that receives well but  does not transmit.  The
driver and the output tubes are good,  but no output.  I know this  sounds
