Sounds like the famous "Golden Screwdriver" problem. Tweaking the coils 
on the bottom can affect rx and tx both. The coils must be aligned in 
order starting with 160m. Those coils are inline for all bands so 
misalignment can kill all of them, rx and tx. Most common is trying to 
"Peak" 10m and breaking the cores.
