    The screen voltage will not affect receiving. Same with filament,
its only the filaments in the final. Actually, I think everything else
is solid state. Does the RF gain affect the receiver?  I have a TS-520S
which is pretty much the same thing. Its a nice rig. I would check the
power supply first. It sounds like one of the oscillators may have quit.
I would certainly clean the band switch and other switches thoroughly.
