[Kenwood] TS590SG and dual receive

I see from the QST review and the Kenwood TS590SG manual that you can use
the DRV connector on the rear of the radio to hook up a receiver to the 590
to do dual receive with it.  That definitely looks like it would be a nice
plan.

Has anyone on the list done this?  I am thinking of getting a TS590SG
partially for this reason, and wonder what happens to the reciever when the
590 goes into transmit.  Do you have to wire up something to mute the
receiver?

Also, the manual says "During transmission, the transmission output will
leak alittle through internal isolation (approximately -20 dBm at 50 MHz"

Is this going to be a big problem for the receiver, possibly damaging its
front end?
