Good afternoon all,

I have a mechanical puzzle; I have a defunct TS930s which requires that the
power supply capacitors C8, C9 be replaced. These two original Kenwood
installed capacitors are contained within a metal box which is mounted on
the chassis, adjacent to the AC transformer. The fixings for this metal box
appear to be two self tapping screws located on a tab between the AC
transformer and the capacitor tag side of the metal box. I have removed the
screws, but no matter how much I gently lever, I cannot extract the box from
the TS930s chassis. It has been suggested to me, that perhaps leakage from
the capacitors has found its way between the metal box and the chassis,
which is acting as an adhesive, if this is the case, then perhaps I should
apply more force. However, if anyone out there has had a similar experience
and resolved the problem, I would appreciate some feed back.

Sincerely, John. G3JVC / GM3JVC.
