[Kenwood] Sluggish Buttons on TS570S?

are the power button, the PF button (which I use a bunch), the tuner

the voltage at the power socket on the back of the radio looks good.

I don't have a radio like yours. I do have other gear with the same 
kinds of hardware and those funny little wires. I would start by going 
to each of the cable connector ends and partially unplugging/replugging 
them to establish good contact there. You might even have to gently 
clean the tiny little contacts. Don't hose them down with contact cleaner.

Also, check for the screws that hold parts together (and probably are 
ground connections). If they aren't loose then loosen/retighten them. If 
that doesn't help see what you might have to do to clean the switch 
contacts. If it's not hard to do just do it anyway while you are in there.

Also, If there are socket ICs or transistors wriggle them in their 
sockets and make sure you finish by reseating them. If you pull them all 
the way out be careful of static - some are sensitive. Also make sure 
you put them back the right way. Most of those procedures will wipe 
corrosion off and re-establish good contact. Don't think in terms of a 
40 year old car fender rotting off the car..more like light tarnish or 
the scum that gets on your house windows. If it looked like that car 
fender you radio would not work at all. Sometimes there are 
mother/daughter boards. Unplug/replug those, too.
