[Kenwood] Kenwood TS930 Power Supply Fan not turning on

I had the same problem.

It is a thermal switch that has failed open.

I jumpered the thermal switch on the power supply board.

I removed the original fan, and installed a ball bearing Computer CPU 
fan in the place of the original.

The computer fan is rated at 12VDC, and it pulls LESS than half the 
current of the rated markings on the original.

There were two different "original" power supply fans.  One was by 
Panasonic, the other was by Matshusta.

Mine was the latter.

Haven't had a lick of problem since.

It takes a bit of care and skill to do it, but I found it well worthwhile!
