Yes that is true for the TS940, but the TS930 samples the 4ht IF at 100Khz for audio and transmit display only with the SM-220 Kenwood scope. There is no 8.83Mhz IF output on the back of the TS-930. Thanks for the reply.

On the 440 & 940 I use a LP-PAN http://www.telepostinc.com/ panadpater quadrature unit that allows me with a good quality sound card to get a 192Khz full view receive panadpater on my laptop computer. The panadpater input is set for the IF frequency of 8.83Mhz. I recently purchased a 7 million serial number TS930 and have been studying the schematic to understand where a good tap off point would be located on the signal board, to get a reasonably strong 8.83Mhz for the LP-PAN unit. I couple the IF to the LP-PAN with a 33uuf capacitor using RG mini 52 ohm coax.

Nearest I can figure is that I should tap off at either of two spots: On the signal board: tap at anode side of diode D93 OR tap off the anode side at Diode D88. These diodes are either side of XF3.
