Kenwood Items For Sale
Two meter FM HT, 440 MHz HT "Tech Special", chargers
and other HT accessories, desk and hand microphones,
coaxial cable, coax switch, original Kenwood manuals, etc.:

Kenwood TH-235 Two Meter FM HT:

The Kenwood TH-235A Two meter HT has a large easy-to-read
LCD, 60 channel memories with scanning and ten DTMF
memories. Extended receive is 136-174 MHz so it includes
the weather frequencies. When used on external DC power
you will get a full 5 watts output. With the included
PB36 battery pack, it produces 1.5 watts. The low power
setting is 0.5 watts.

This particular unit works 100% and looks like it just came
out of the box new. It came from a silent key who I don't
think ever used it. This one includes the desk charger,
rubber duck antenna, belt clip, and paper work for $110.
I added a new PB-36 battery, as the old one had been in
the drawer long enough that it is not in good condition.

Kenwood TH-41 BT HT for 440 MHz:

The Kenwood TH-41 BT is an easy-to-use and compact 440
MHz HT. Frequency selection is via thumbwheel switches
on the top of the radio. There is a DTMF touch tone pad
on the front, along with DIP switches for selection of
the built in PL subaudible tone.

This HT is a "Tech Special" or could be used for parts.
It could also be used to get subaudible PL tone if you
have one of the older "AT" models that lack the tones.
Basically, this unit transmits fine. On receive it sounds
like it is working (squlech action is OK, it has audio,
etc.) but a signal is not received. It acts like the
receiver may be off frequency. Of course it could also
be used for "fox hunts" since the transmitter works fine.

I am selling the HT only, with no accessories.
Cosmetically it is nice. I will include both operating
and service manuals on CD.  $25

Accessories for the Kenwood TH-21 / 31 / 41 series HTs:

Special Antenna adapter that fits the TH-21 series HTs,
and has a BNC on the other end. $10

MFJ 287 Speaker Microphone
This was used on a Kenwood TH-225 HT, but it also fits the
TH-21/31/41 series HTs, TH-205, TH-215, TH-415, as well as
others. It has a 3 conductor 3.5 mm plug and a 2 conductor
2.5 mm plug. It works fine. $15

Kenwood W09-0315 charger
This charger is used to charge the larger PB-21 H batteries
for the TH-21 series, and also on other Kenwood radios.
It has a standard 2.1 mm coaxial connector. $12

Kenwood MS-1 charger / DC power supply:

The MS-1 is designed to be used with the Kenwood TR-2500
and TR-2600 HTs. The HT slips into the unit, and will
charge the battery, or power the unit, or both. The HTs
use 9.6 volts DC to operate. This unit converts 13 V DC
down to the required 9.6 V DC. It also functions as a
holder for the HT in the car, and as a light to illuminate
the LCD display on the HT.

This one works fine, and looks OK. With paper work for
$20.

Accessories for Kenwood TH-205, TH-215, TH-225, TH-415,
and other HTs in this series:

MFJ 287 Speaker Microphone
This was used on a Kenwood TH-225 HT, but it also fits the
TH-21/31/41 series HTs, TH-205, TH-215, TH-415, as well as
others. It works fine, and looks close to new. $15

BNC to PL-259 antenna adapter
Antenna adapter to fit the BNC connector on the HT and provide
an SO-239 connector that will permit a PL-259 to be attached.
This adapter can be used on any HT with a BNC connector. $5

Deluxe Desk Microphone w/ Kenwood 8 pin connector:

This is a great looking and great performing low impedance
desk mic. It has a quality Shure 600 ohm cartridge in it
(the cartridge alone is over $40 new), with a very nice
black die case base and neck, with a chrome grill. It
looks somewhat like a Shure 444, but no plastic on this
one -- all metal!

This one looks like new, and works the same. It has a
long (approx 6 foot) cord, with a round 8 pin connector
for Kenwood. $75

Kenwood Hand Microphone with round 8 pin plug:

This hand mic works great on most Kenwood rigs with the
round 8 pin connector, such as the TS-430, TS-440, TS-570,
TM-241, TM-2530, TW-4000, and others.
It only says "Electret Condenser Mic" on it, with no
model number.

Basically, this mic is like an MC-43, only with a couple
more features. Of course it has the mic and PTT switch;
it also has up/down switches on the top. There are four
"extra" buttons labeled Call, VFO, MR, and PF. What these
four buttons do depends on the rig that it is attached to.
They will function on some rigs, and are completely useless
on others. There is also a "Lock" switch on the back.

Regardless if you use the four extra buttons or not, you
still have a mic that works like an MC-43.

This mic works fine, and looks like new. I am guessing it
came with a rig, and was immediately put in the drawer. $30

Hand Microphone with 8 pin modular plug for Kenwood:

This hand mic says "Electret Condenser Mic" on it, with no
model number.

This mic has the mic and PTT switch; it also has
up/down switches on the top. There are four "extra" buttons
labeled Call, VFO, MR, and PF. What these four buttons do
depends on the rig. They will function on some rigs, and
are completely useless on others. There is also a "Lock"
switch on the back.

This mic has the 8 pin modular plug (like a computer LAN)
on it, as used by the Kenwood TM-261, TM-271 and others.
It has been tested on a TM-261, but probably works on
many others.

This mic works fine, and looks like new. I am guessing it
came with a rig, and was immediately put in the drawer. $30

Coaxial Cable:

I accumulated a fairly large amount of miscellaneous
lengths of coaxial cable. Most of the cable is RG-8
(.405 inches in diameter) or equivalent. Most has a
PL-259 on at least one end, and most on both ends.

All of the coax over 20 feet has been checked with an
analyzer, and its loss has been confirmed to be within
10% of new specs which is as close as I can measure.
Lengths under 20 feet have been checked for continuity,
because loss is almost impossible to measure for lengths
this short.

I have a large amount in many different lengths, varying
from 1 foot to 80 feet. To put it another way, I have
jumpers for in your shack, and lengths to run up your
tower. I can not list all of the lengths. Please let
me know what you need, and I will see how close I can come.

The coax is 3 feet for a dollar (33 cents a foot), plus
$2 for each installed PL-259.

Coaxial Lightning Arrestors:

These lightning arrestors are made to be inserted in to
your coaxial feedline, to help reduce lightning damage.

Cushcraft LAC-2
Still in the original blister pack, unused.
This one has an SO-239 (female UHF) connector on each end,
so that a PL-259 can be screwed into it. $15

Cushcraft LAC-1 ??
No markings on this to confirm the model number, but it
looks like the Cushcraft "Blitz Bug".
It has an SO-239 on one end and a PL-259 on the other end
(female UHF on one end and male on the other). $10

Daiwa CS-401 Stripline 4 Position Coax Switch:

Daiwa switches utilize professionally engineered all
metal cavity construction for maximum efficiency, high
isolation and minimum resistance. Isolation is better
than 60 dB at 300 MHz. Insertion losses are less than
0.2 dB. The Daiwa CS-401 permits the selection of up
to four antennas. Unused antenna positions are grounded.

This is a quality reproduction with a "comb" binding
that has been done by one of the professional reproduction
houses. W7FG I think.

This one has a plastic protector on the front, and is
in very nice condition. It includes schematic diagrams.
