[Kenwood] TH-G71A does not beep when key is pressed

Hi -

My TH-G71A would not beep when a key is pressed, except maybe the power
button [intermittent].

I have performed a full reset [F + power on] and checked menu item 06 
[Beep on] but no improvement.

Any suggestion welcome - thanks
