[Kenwood] TS-940S Transverter port power output

Hi Paul,

I was able to find my old transverter "umbilical cord" with the special "U"
DIN connector that routes all transverter functions but wouldn't you know
it, the RF out center connector had broken inside the DIN end. 

After repairing that, I used my Boonton 42A microwattmeter with a HP 10 db
pad and measured +15 dBm CW key down output at 28 mHz and +18 dBm at 14 mHz
on the RF output cable connected to pin 7 on the DIN connector.

In terms of mW that seems to work out to 30 and 60 mW respectively. 

I hope that helps and it should drive most transverters quite nicely.

I recently got an IC-471A to use so I'm taking the MMT 432/28 out of service
and thought I'd put a 220 transverter in it's place, but just can't figure
out where I got the output numbers originally that made me comfortable about
the output from the 940 into the MMT. I wanted to know those numbers before
I started work on a transverter. I'm thinking of getting one of the DownEast
verters for 220. I do remember having to adjust the input pot on the MMT
down from full 500mw input, so it's less than 500mw from the 940. But
whether the 940 spec is 5mw, 500mw or somewhere in between escapes me.
 
If you find any info, please keep me in mind!
