[Kenwood] TS950S SSB offset problem

I just picked up a used Kenwood TS950S (what a great sounding rig), that has
an issue on SSB.   It appears that the transmit and receive frequency are
off by 260 to 270hz.  I have been living with it by just turning on the RIT
when on SSB, which I don't use that much anyways on HF.  When using USB you
set the RIT to -0.26 and on LSB set the RIT to +0.26 and it seems to
equalize the transmit/receive frequencies.  This is something that I would
like to fix, though. Any else have this problem before?  Where should I
start troubleshooting to fix it?
