[Kenwood] (no subject)

I am not sitting here with either the radio or the manual in front of me but I 
seem to remember an issue having to do with the timer and that if you 
accidentally set the timer then the radio would behave weirdly like that. Maybe 
somebody who has the manual handy can elaborate.

Last night my 940 was humming right along working perfect.  All of a sudden it 
died.  Died as in no power
whatsoever.  I have checked all the usual stuff outside of the radio, fuses, 
power, etc.  I haven't opened 

it up yet.  Is there another fuse inside?  Anyone have any ideas before I dig 
into the guts?  I am electronic
savvy so I'm not afraid to dig for a bit just thought someone had seen a similar 
problem and I could save
a few troubleshooting steps.  The fact I am 73 and not to steady with a 
soldering iron doesn't help either.
