[Kenwood] TS2000 - Trouble on Main Receiver

My TS2000 has developed a glitch. The Main Receiver has  loud static and the S meter jumps all over the place from S2 to +40. This is on all bands. Doesn't effect transmit just receive. Sub receiver is fine and works as it should. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
