[Kenwood] HC-10 clock

I have a Kenwood HC-10 clock bought (cheap) at a recent fleamarket. It
probably dates from the 1980s and probably was on and operating since then.

The vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) is showing its age with dimmed
segments. It's OK in a darkened room, but quite noticeable under normal
lighting.

All of the usual Kenwood parts sources (East Coast, Pacific Parts etc.)
indicate that the part ( W02-0305-08 ) is no longer available. A replacement
part would have to be brand-new, otherwise it would probably be in the same
condition.

Any suggestions (wearing sunglasses in the shack is not an option)?
Non-North American parts agents?

Ken, VE3FIT
