[Kenwood] need advice on kenwood twins 599a

On my "D's", I just loosened the set screws and the knob slipped off.
Might be some burrs on the shaft  that's dug into the plastic of the
knob. Try pushing the knob slightly toward the face plate and then pull
it straight back.
