[Kenwood] TS2000 and duplexer problem

I have a somewhat similar problem.  I am using my Kenwood TS2000 with a Cushcraft A270-10S dualband yagi.  Since it uses a common feedline for both bands, I use a duplexer at the rig end to accommodate the separate antenna jacks for 2m and 70cm.  This is where the problem occurs.  With the duplexer in line, the power on 2m drops to 60 watts out-I assume due to the rig seeing a high SWR on that band.  With the duplexer gone and feeding the antenna straight to the 2m jack, it is putting out full power on 2m.  I have tried 2 different duplexers and have the same problem with both of them.
 
Anyone else see this problem with their TS2000 or have any ideas?

Sorry for wasting your time. Just noticed the signal level 
changed when going from forward to reverse on the swr meter. 
Taking it out of the line seems to have eliminated the problem.
