[Kenwood] TS480 DATA

HI I'm Joe (KC0ZHA) Does anyone have any experience with the TS480 on Digital?  I use a SignaLink usb with MixW or 780delux (HRD) I receive ok, but most everyone tell me they have trouble printing my signal.  I use the data port on the transceiver. Someone told me to adjust the ALC,  but I can find no ALC adjustment on the radio, nor in the manual.  Any help would be appreciated.
