[Kenwood] Possible replacement for SM-220?

I received my Feb issue of QST that contained a review for a LP-PAN Software
Defined Panadapter System.

Once there, select LP-PAN from the left hand side of the frame.

 

It is compatible with Kenwood intermediate Frequencies of 8.830mhz.

 

It comes in two forms:

 

1.	As a kit for $176.75
2.	Assembled $227.25

 

 

Better than spending another $300.00-$500.00 for another SM-220

 

Unless you're a purist and want to have an SM-220 for the sake of owning
one.
