They have.  Furthermore, it affects your transmitted audio as well.

Refer to Section 6.6 of your manual -- Optional 10Hz Dispaly Resolution --
to see how to gain access to the control unit.  The trimmer caps are
located towards the front of the control unit on the other side of the
board from where the "10Hz" mod is made.
