Rigs that work with 6146B's can use the non B tubes. Some rigs that were
designed for non B 6146's have the neutralization problem if you switch
to the B version. There have been some posts that correctly point out
the somewhat reduced power handling of the non B 6146's. I usually have
my T599 loafing along at less than 50 watts anyway... sometimes
substantially less than 50 watts (5 watts). My finals should outlast me.
If you have the 6146B's try them out. If the neutralization gives you
fits then drop back the 6146 or A. I have 6146W's in mine. They are also
non B tubes but a little sturdier.
