[Kenwood] FW: serial number HC-2

Hi,

 

My friend and I own the same Kenwood Ham Clock HC-10.

This clock has a sticker with Japanese characters and numbers.

On BOTH clocks there is the number 401.

As you can see I asked my Japanese friend the meaning of this number and he said SERIAL NUMBER.

 

But serial numbers cannot be the same, can they???

Do you know the answer? Is it LOT number in stead of serial number?

The printed Japanese letters meaning is a Serial Number.

 

But number "401" is not serial number. May it be a lot number? 

 

Then even if there is one same "401" a lot, it is not a mistake

The numbers are the same!!!!!! This is of course a disappointment!!!

 

 

Could you tell me what the Japanese characters exactly mean? You said “SERIAL NUMBER” but may be it is TYPENUMBER in stead of SERIAL number?
