[Kenwood] TS-940SAT Issues

Hello, first posting here.
    I stumbled across what I think may be an issue with my TS-940. While in 
LSB, I am able to demodulate USB signals and visa versa. Right now it 
doesn't seem to be a problem but I can't help but suspect that it is masking 
a different problem. I am blessed with a service manual so that can help me. 
Any leads on where to follow this path is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
