[Kenwood] TS-850 OUTPUT Question

Every watt counts :-) Get a copy of the Usermanual, I did and re-adjusted the output power accordingly. Also mine was 90 watt max. Now 100 watt as per usermanual.

Let’s see the math:
 
Log 88/100x20= 1.1 dB. Doesn’t make the slightest difference as far as the receiving station is concerned. One S-point is 6 dB, so 1 dB is nothing in the scheme of things.
What’s the input voltage to your radio? Is the power control all the way up?
If  the TS-850 doesn’t draw unusually high current for the power output, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Hello.   Have a TS-850.   I am getting about 88 to 90 watts output on most of the bands.  Using CW into a proper dummy load with an accurate meter.   Would this be considered normal?

Is there an easy way to increase the output to 100 watts?
