[Kenwood] 480HX users?

Mike,

I use a 480HX mobile and I love it.  It replaced a TS-50 in 2004 which =
would
not fit in my new vehicle.  My only complaint is the DSP noise =
reduction.  I
was forced to continue to use my Clear Speech speaker to get rid of the
background noise.  The noise blanker and dynamic noise limiter work very
well, but the DSP noise reduction stinks in my opinion.

My 480HX has lived in my truck for 4 years without a hiccup.  So far it =
has
been every bit as reliable, and every bit as easy to operate as the =
TS-50.
I'm not sorry I bought it and can't imagine a better mobile rig.

If you own, or once owned the TS480HX, I'd appreciate your observations, =

both positive and negative, as I am considering a station upgrade.

For reference, my current station is a 10 year-old TS570SG.
