[Kenwood] Kenwood TM-733 question

Hi all,

I have a Kenwood TM-733 that I have used both in the mobile and at home. 
It is at home ATM...

My questions is: The fan comes on as soon as I key the mic. I feel the 
heatsink and it is ICE cold. This even happened mobile during the winter 
when the car was a cold as a witches err.... Well, you know what I mean.

Is this normal for this radio? Is there a mod to make this come on when 
the unit actually heats up?

Any thought?
