Hey, I'm usually the last to latch-on to things. But just in case
someone out there hasn't discovered this; the main downer on a TS-830
is the 25 khz tuning per dial revolution. It's just two darn'd fast
tuning ratio to tune ssb. You join a group and get yelled at cause your
not on frequency. It came in a flash, the other day if a pushed both
the "RIT" and "XIT" buttons, I now had what C.B.'ers call a
"Clarifier". Works great too. Just tune the main tuning close to where
you want and grab the "RIT" nob to fine tune. Now I sure feel
proud.........but cause I've owned '830's for years and just discovered
this, kinda dumb too! 73, Ron K6ZL
