[Kenwood] TS-50S intermittent audio

Greetings;
My TS-50S will have the audio ouput cut out.  I can still see signals bouncing the "s-meter".  If I touch the external speaker jack, the audio will come back on -- sometimes.  Often I have to touch it several times.  Plugging a speaker in the jack will not produce audio.  I suspect the external speaker jack is bad or there is a bad solder joint.  Before I order a part, has anyone else had this problem? Should I suspect some additional part or problem? I looked back several months on the archives and found nothing.
