Thanks to all who responded to my need for shipping ideas.  One thing for
sure, I'll not be purchasing a pelican case or equivalent.  Too much !!  I
will begin searching for boxes of suitable strength and size for the double
box method.  I also like the canned foam idea..... I've received several
items in just such methods.  The radio should be very secure in most any
method suggested.  Also, taking the unit to a UPS shipping center does put
the bug on them to pack it right.
