[Kenwood] TS-520 review

I'll add my .02 to the 520 discussion. I bought one --
actually a craigslist
posting for $300. A bit steep but the seller threw in a few
goodies like
an neat old telegraph key, 2 SWR meters, and a CW filter.
The rig was very clean.
I don't know if it's up to specs, but when I compare it
side-by-side to
my main receiver, a JRC NDR525, it pulls in the same weak
stations clearly.
I'm impressed. And seems to be built like a tank. I like the
pair of 6146s in
the final-- as you know they're relatively forgiving of load
variations.
Nice rig. You can probably get a good one for half of what I
paid, but
I got impatient. See eham.net = overall glowing reviews.
