I have a TS-830S transceiver that is practically new, but I have been off the air for around 10+ years. I tried to use it this weekend and I found the following:  When the transceiver is keyed with the send button the meter should show 60 Ma of idleing current until the keyer is keyed to transmit the morse code.  When the transceiver is turned on cold, for he first 10 or so minutes the idling current instead of being rock solid of 60 Ma, it is erratic and will vary from 30 to 60 Ma. After 10 minutes or so, it will stay at 60 Ma as it should in idleing current mode until I begin using the keyer to send code.  I'm not for sure whether this is a screen voltage problem, bias problem or what. If anyone has some suggestions on how to trouble shoot this, it would be greatly appreciated. I also have a 820 and it does NOT do the erratic swing in idleing current as is described above with the 830. Thank you, John
